GRT President Allen Wright said, "Gary Comer's vision has been an enormous inspiration both to me personally and to our company. His generosity enabled GRT to develop air-capture as a viable solution to the global problem of carbon dioxide build-up in the atmosphere. The Foundation's assumption of his ownership interest is a continued expression of support by the Comer family for the mission of both GRT and The Foundation itself."

The late Gary Comer was convinced that climate change is real and that the air-capture of carbon dioxide was a potentially critical climate change mitigation tool. He would be greatly encouraged by GRT's proof-of-concept progress and by the commercial prospects of its technologies."
