Players can also compete for weekly prizes in a variety of challenging mini-games, ranging from sports trivia to forecasting a superstar's performance.

Unlike most competitive fantasy sports sites, which charge users as much as $29.95 to participate and access content, CNNSI.com's SportSim is free to the user. All SportSim users have one-click access to CNNSI.com's breaking sports news, up-to-the-minute stats and scores that will give SportSim players a winning edge.

In Full Contact, players create and manage a "dream team" of offensive and defensive players, and earn "fantasy points" based upon their team's accomplishments in the real games (i.e., scoring touchdowns, completing passes, making tackles, etc.). Full Contact features 17 games of head-to-head competition against other players in the same league. Players who earn more fantasy points than their scheduled opponent score a victory. The player with the most regular-season victories wins the League Championship, entering them into a special prize pool. The player who earns the most fantasy points overall wins the grand prize.

There are no registration fees, transaction fees or other costs to participate in SportSim. Players can create an initial fantasy sports team, and access all of SportSim's features and content, at no cost; additional teams can be purchased for $19.95 each. First-time users must register for a User ID and Password to participate in SportSim. Existing Sandbox members do not need to re-register.

Other SportSim Features

SportSim delivers a complete spectrum of sports games to enthusiasts of all interest and skill levels.
