: CNE) today announced that its subsidiary, Connectivity, Inc., has completed the last phase of a contract for the installation of wireless remote emergency call boxes on I-15 (Phase I) and wireless remote video poles on I-80 (Phase II) for the Nevada Department of Transportation The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) is a governmental agency in the U.S. state of Nevada. NDOT is responsible for maintaining and expanding Nevada's highway system, which includes U.S. highways and Interstate highways within the state's boundaries. .

Phase I was completed in April on I-15 from the California state border to the Las Vegas Las Vegas (läs vā`gəs), city (1990 pop. 258,295), seat of Clark co., S Nev.; inc. 1911. Phase II, just completed, is a wireless broadband High-speed wireless transmission of data. What is "high" speed is always a changing number. Wireless systems are typically slower than land-based, wireline networks. In the past, wireless broadband started at 250 Kbps, whereas land-based broadband was generally considered to start at T1  data solution to support 5 video cameras on I-80 covering approximately 200 miles from the town of Winnemucca to the Utah state border. Cameras were placed at existing remote weather stations located on mountain passes along I-80 to provide real-time monitoring of road conditions at these summits and to confirm remote weather station data. The solution utilized a combination of technologies including Motorola Canopy(TM), DV-TEL MPEG-4(TM) video encoders, and Connectivity's proprietary custom software to view the video feed at the Nevada DOT's Traffic Management Center (TMC TMC Technology Marketing Corporation (Norwalk, Connecticut)

) located in Elko, NV. This monitoring solution will also provide sufficient bandwidth to support future control of road sensors, variable message signs, traffic counters and other network connections. The contract was fulfilled on-time and on-budget.

Benoit, CNE's Chairman, added "The successful completion of this phase of the contract, which expires in late 2008, will enable any Nevada taxing authority to order, without bid, the Company's full range of products including call boxes, video products and proprietary software.
