CNA forms new company: CNA Agriculture Technology & Services, Inc.


CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 10, 1997--CNA Agriculture, a division of CNA (Certified NetWare Administrator) See Novell certification. , today announced the formation of a new company to support its farm and crop insurance programs. CNA Agriculture Technology & Services, Inc. will develop, acquire, and invest in leading-edge technology applications for crop and farm agents working with CNA.

 Marschand, executive vice president, of Agriculture at CNA said, "We recognize the increasingly significant role technology will play in providing cost effective products and services for our crop and farm agents. The formation of our Agriculture Technology & Services company will provide the necessary focus to enable CNA to more quickly bring the appropriate automation support to this market."

The first product to come out of this alliance is the Crop Risk Estimator. It is currently being distributed to licensed CNA crop agents across the country.  for the farmer. This includes forecasted production costs, harvesting expenses, loss scenarios, crop insurance coverage and costs, and other overhead expenses. This capability allows the farmer to see the bottom line profitability impact of employing alternative risk management products.

The Internet-based system allows the agents to receive immediate rate updates and changes in coverage parameters through a simple Internet Internet
