CHICAGO -- CNA announces a new product designed to better insure clients who need crime policies. Crime Pack offers up-to-date features and contains enhancements most requested by producers. The product has a simplified application as well as a rating plan that streamlines the submission and purchasing process.

"With the increasing level of complexity of crime-related activities, there are two important elements for producers to consider," said Dan Auslander, vice president. Approved in every state, except Massachusetts where the filing is pending, Crime Pack includes the following features:

--Application: streamlined to require only total headcount, which eliminates the need to provide an employee census.

--Definition of Employee: broadened to include volunteers and leased employees as well as non-compensated directors and officers, positions which required endorsements in the past.

--Check and Credit Card Forgery: now included in the policy in Forgery and Alteration coverage, with no need to purchase separate coverages.

--Personal Accounts: also included in Forgery and Alteration coverage.

--Computer and Funds Transfer Fraud: combined "Voice Plus" Funds Transfer with Computer Fraud, thus eliminating the need for a separate endorsement. This coverage is not location specific, and recognizes fraud may take place in cyberspace rather than only in a physical location.
