CNA Life Offers Flexible Term Coverage with New Maximizer Select; Policyowners Customize Life Insurance On Their Own Terms.

Business Editors

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 20, 2002

CNA (Certified NetWare Administrator) See Novell certification.  Life, the life insurance business unit of the CNA companies, today introduced a new term life insurance product, CNA Maximizer(SM) Select. The CNA Maximizer Select combines the basic coverage of term life insurance with the flexibility to add rider coverage for such benefits as return of premium, disability income, and critical illness/income replacement.

The policies, available for 15-, 20- and 30-year terms, are based on the traditional term model of a level benefit payable in the event of the insured's death while coverage is active. "Optional riders make these policies extremely flexible," says Ken Keating, vice president Life brokerage, CNA Life/LTC. "We've added another layer to traditional term policies, giving our policyowners the ability to customize a policy to fit their unique needs."

Clients can purchase coverage in amounts starting at $150,000, and then add from a selection of ten optional riders to build a plan to suit their needs. Other optional riders include accidental death benefit A provision of a life insurance policy stating that if the insured—the person whose life has been insured—dies in an accident, the beneficiary of the policy—the person to whom its proceeds are payable—will receive twice the face value of the policy. , income replacement, waiver of premium Waiver of premium
