CNA Life Introduces Preferred Plus Upgrade Program; Offering Better Rates for Best Class.

Business Editors

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 21, 2001

CNA (Certified NetWare Administrator) See Novell certification.  Life, the life insurance business unit of the CNA companies, recently announced a new premium upgrade program for its best rate class for non-tobacco users. CNA's preferred plus upgrade, where available, offers buyers some of the best rates in the industry.

This program, available on most CNA 15-, 20- and 30- year term products with face amounts of $500,000 or more, automatically prices the policy rates at one rate class better - even for our current best rate class. This is an enhancement to CNA's already successful class upgrade program and is available from January 1, 2002 through March 31, 2002.

"The new Preferred Plus Upgrade rates move our top rate class on CNA term policies into a highly competitive position - in virtually every instance offering the best rate to be found," says Bob Miller, Vice President, CNA Life Marketing. "Policyowners get a premium upgrade and the bonus of paying one of the lowest rates in the industry."

This program will still follow CNA's usual underwriting Underwriting
