The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 17, 2001, at 10:30 a.m. (Pacific Time) at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver, 655 Burrard Street. "Vancouver and its port are important generators of business for our railroad," said CN President and Chief Executive Officer Paul M. Tellier. "The significance of this business is reflected in the extensive rail network and facilities CN has built in the region. Employment today in Vancouver tops 700." CN had a strong year in 2000. "We met or exceeded our key financial objectives," Tellier said. "In addition, we continued the successful integration of CN and Illinois Central." For 2000, CN's net income was C$879 million, excluding a one-time, C$58 million after-tax gain. Including this item, net income for the year was C$937 million.
