President and Chief Executive Officer Paul M. Tellier today announced the appointment of Peter Marshall to the position of vice-president, bulk commodities. Marshall will be based in Calgary. In his new position, Marshall will be responsible for the strategic leadership and direction of CN's bulk commodities business unit, comprising coal, sulphur and fertilizers, and grain & grain products. Marshall reports to Gerald Davies, CN's executive vice- president, marketing. Marshall joins CN after a successful career at Imperial Oil, where he held successively senior management positions, primarily in fuels, fertilizers and lubricants. Most recently, as manager of Imperial Oil's Branded Associated Division, he was responsible for a diverse and complex portfolio of national business units with sales of $1.3 billion.
