CMTL Releases Memory Diagnostic Test Card to NASBA System Builders and Integrators.

CMTL (Computer Memory Test Labs) today announced that it has reached an agreement with NASBA (The Association of System Builders and Integrators) that will allow NASBA members to purchase a modified version of CMTL's proprietary MCFT (Memory Compatibility & Functionality Test) card.

The arrangement will help prevent members from configuring systems with marginal memory and motherboards.

The MCFT card is the primary tool used by CMTL to test and certify memory module compatibility on high end desktop and server motherboards manufactured by Abit, AOpen, ASUS, Biostar, Chaintech, DFI, Epox, FIC, Gigabyte, Intel, Iwill, Legend, MSI, Shuttle, Soyo, and Tyan.

The MCFT card inserts into any PCI slot on a motherboard PCI slot and allows the user to select from one to four different memory stress test levels, each progressive level utilizing a more complex and difficult sequence of test patterns and algorithms. The MCFT card does not require any special drivers, utilizes its own micro OS and will auto boot when the system power is applied.

MCFT supports all SIMMs, DIMMs and RIMMs. A major advantage of the MCFT card is the capability to test system memory without the interference of any hard drives, operating system limitations, or Windows(R) protected mode environment. The MCFT card runs all tests in a protected mode, which can completely test up to 64 gigabytes of memory.

This utility provides users the options of running sophisticated test patterns to detect hard to find memory errors, which may not be detected by stand-alone testers or other forms of memory test software.
