CMS wants more states to join demonstration project that began in January.

 is seeking five to 10 states to help expand its demonstration project aimed at helping inform citizens about how to plan for long-term care long-term care (LTC),
n the provision of medical, social, and personal care services on a recurring or continuing basis to persons with chronic physical or mental disorders.
. The goal is to help controlling costs in the Medicaid program.

Administrator Mark McClellan said the agency wants more states to join in the second phase of this demonstration project to test the most efficient ways to communicate the need for planning for the prospect of an illness or other infirmity Flaw, defect, or weakness.

In a legal sense, the term infirmity is used to mean any imperfection that renders a particular transaction void or incomplete. For example, if a deed drawn up to transfer ownership of land contains an erroneous description of it, an
