CMS waives late fee deadline for some Part D enrollees.

On January 9, CMS announced it will eliminate the Medicare Part D 2007 late enrollment fee for low-income beneficiaries, according to a press release. The fee was originally in place to encourage beneficiaries to join during the initial enrollment period and not wait until later in the year.
