CMS Selects Norwegian Distributor to Expand Product Offerings to the Scandinavian Market.

CMS Peripherals(R) Inc., the leader in backup and hard drive solutions for notebook and desktop computers, today announced a channel agreement with X-it Distribution of Norway. The Norway-based distributor will help drive sales for CMS' ABSplus line of automatic backup systems in the Scandinavian marketplace.

X-it Distribution specializes in delivering solutions that enable computer users to quickly and easily get their systems back up and running and reduce user downtime. X-it plans to promote the ABSplus product line to its customers in Norway, Denmark, Finland, and Sweden. As a backup, disaster recovery, and storage solution, the ABSplus' advanced features will complement X-it's existing product portfolio. The ABSplus will be one of X-it's top four priority brands, giving it vast exposure to the Norwegian distributor's large customer base.

The ABSplus is available for both notebooks and desktops and supports backup, archival, and restoration of data with one of the market's lowest total cost of ownership. The portable ABSplus is available with a choice of PCMCIA, USB 2.0, or FireWire interfaces and comes standard with a 3-year warranty in capacities ranging between 20GB and 80GB. The desktop ABSplus is available in capacities ranging between 40GB and 250GB, with either FireWire or USB 2.0 interfaces and includes a 3-year warranty.

The ABSplus product family is compatible with both Windows (98SE/Me/2000/XP) and Mac(R) OS 9.x and Mac OS X operating systems. All of CMS' solutions are available through major distributors, corporate resellers, mail order, and direct from the company's Web site, www.cmsproducts.com.
