 Peripherals(R) Inc. today announced price reductions for its entire line of notebook and desktop ABSplus solutions for Macintosh(R) and Windows(R) environments.

Lower component prices have allowed CMS to pass the savings along to their customers, decreasing the pricing for some of its solutions by as much as $210. The new, lower prices, combined with the ease-of-use and security offered by the ABSplus, make data backup and disaster recovery more affordable and effortless ef·fort·less

The lower prices are evident in the ABSplus systems with the larger hard drive capacities. The company's award-winning Adj. 1. award-winning - having received awards; "this award-winning bridge spans a distance of five miles"  40GB ABSplus for notebooks is now priced at $399, a reduction of more than $100. The 60GB notebook version is now $499, a savings of more than $200.

CMS also reduced the pricing for its recently announced internal ABSplus to $449 for 40GB and $549 for 60GB, a savingS of $100 and $200, respectively. The internal ABSplus is designed specifically for the secondary bays of Compaq and Dell notebooks. -0-

The desktop version of the ABSplus has also been reduced with the 80GB system now set at $299, a reduction of $100, and the 120GB system now priced at $399, a reduction of $150. CMS also reduced the price of its Noteworthy ABSplus designed exclusively for Toshiba notebook systems by $140 to $449 for the 40GB version and reduced pricing by $210 for the 60GB version to $589.
