CMS BondEdge Announces Latest Canadian BondEdge Release: Includes cellular approach to benchmark comparison analysis.

CMS BondEdge, an operating division of Interactive Data Corporation (NASDAQ: IDCO), and a leading provider of fixed income portfolio analytics, today announces the release of Canadian BondEdge version 4.71.

This latest version features a host of improvements tailored for the Canadian fixed income marketplace, including expanded portfolio versus benchmark analytics and performance attribution capabilities.

Version 4.71 incorporates Matrix Management into Canadian BondEdge, which allows for in-depth, highly specific portfolio versus benchmark comparisons, including indices provided by RBC Capital Markets. Teri Geske, senior vice president of product development explains, "As an example, you might create a matrix defined by characteristics such as sector and duration, then choose to display values such as percent held and average quality in each cell; with Matrix Management, you're able to highlight extremely specific, and possibly unintended mismatches between your portfolio and benchmark, then drill down to the security level from the matrix, for both the portfolio and the benchmark, to investigate further and make adjustments as necessary."

Canadian BondEdge 4.71g also offers probability-weighted return simulation capabilities, which allows clients to stress test portfolios using non-parallel yield curve and quality/sector spread shifts for more robust analysis. Finally, Canadian BondEdge now includes performance attribution analytics for portfolios containing non-Canadian dollar assets, which incorporate the effects of currency movements. Clients are also now able to create multi-currency forward rate agreements, used to hedge or increase foreign exchange exposure, which are fully integrated with the performance attribution analytics.
