CMRA urges L.A. to adopt C&D recycling legislation.

) has sent a resolution to city officials in Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  urging them to adopt an ordinance that would require all city departments to recycle at least 50 percent of construction and demolition debris.

The CMRA, a national association that promotes the recycling of C&D materials, also recommends the mayor and city council adopt an ordinance that would mandate a 50-percent C&D recycling rate on private construction and demolition projects.
