CMR Publishing Inc. uses "environmentally correct" package to ship new version of DailyLog, a schedule-driven project management program designed by a team of expert tracking and delay review managers.

Santa Rosa, city (1991 pop. 80,629), capital of La Pampa prov., central Argentina. It is a modern city and road junction surrounded by a rich agricultural and cattle-raising area.

"We want to reinforce our product strategy of usability by making the package useful as well as the software," explained Kenji P. Hoshino, general manager of CMR CMR Crude mortality rate, see there  Publishing Inc. "Users will immediately see an obvious use for the clipboard, and we hope, the software, too! Seriously, DailyLog is an obvious solution to an indelible project management challenge -- how to actually use a schedule to make progress."

DailyLog was designed by a team of experts in project delay mitigation led by Kenji P. Hoshino to provide a software tool that can push a schedule forward and quickly resolve disputes if projects run into delays -- as they usually do. "One of the original reasons we developed this product was to make project tracking and progress posting more efficient. Because I've seen so many disputes that could be streamlined or avoided altogether with an accurate as-built schedule, I wanted to provide all project managers with that capability in DailyLog," explained Hoshino.

In a beta review, James C. Lawson, "The Construction Specifier," March 1995, wrote, "One of DailyLog's most impressive features is a schedule-driven checklist." DailyLog also logs completion progress, accepts activity information including resource usage, and prints a variety of progress reports and inspection checklist forms. DailyLog was first targeted to the engineering and construction market but is now marketed to all project managers as a stand-alone project management program.

But, DailyLog works best as a front-end, interactive partner with programs such as Microsoft Project (product) Microsoft Project - A Microsoft Windows program offering various project management tools.
