CMP Technology's Electronics Group (San Francisco, CA) has launched "EE Times Europe" (Brussels) with a September 1 issue. The new bi-weekly print and edition has an initial circulation of 55,000 "creators of technology in Europe," CMP said, and is published in English. Editorial includes locally generated European staff copy as well as news and analysis from the U.S. version of "EE Times." New products coverage from the former "Electronics-Express" tabloid is a featured section within "EE Times Europe." CMP said the new title rounds out its integrated media offerings that include the pan-European web site and email newsletters, launched in June, that cover seven regional European markets in English and local languages.

In related news, CMP Technology and O'Reilly Media (Sebastopol, CA), co-producers of the annual Web 2.0 Conference, have launched a new conference and trade show serving the larger market of those who build and leverage the web, the two companies said. The new event, Web 2.0 Expo, will take place April 15-18, 2007 in San Francisco. It is described as an annual gathering of the technical, design, marketing and business professionals "who are building the next generation web."

Finally, CMP Game Group (San Francisco, CA) producer of the Game Developer's Conference, an event for game creators, and Gameland, a media company for game enthusiasts in Russia, will launch the Game Developers Conference Russia later this month. The three-day event is an international game conference targeted at game developers including project leaders, producers, managers and global game industry executives.
