CMI Holdings Group's Update to Shareholders; First Shipment of 21st Century's Wireless Sonic2ners Due Next Week.

SACRAMENTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 7, 2001

CMI (Computer-Managed Instruction) Using computers to organize and manage an instructional program for students. It helps create test materials, tracks the results and monitors student progress.  Holdings Group Inc. (OTC-Pink Sheets:CMIH), and 21st Century Wireless Inc., should receive the first shipment of their wireless technology product, Sonic2ners, next week. This item, which is now beginning production, is the next generation Walkman or the Walkman of the 21st Century. By utilizing bone conductance technology, 21st Century Wireless has developed a world wide patented, self-contained FM Headphone See headphones.  unit that produces concert like sound with the unique and revolutionary benefit that it does not cover or rest on the ears.

The second element of the technology is a Wireless Tuner transmitter. The Sonic2ner Headset Headphones combined with a microphone. Used in call centers and by people in telephone-intensive jobs, headsets provide the equivalent functionality of a telephone handset with hands-free operation. Many people use headsets at the computer so they can converse and type comfortably.  can be combined with a one-ounce tunable wireless transmitter that plugs into a disc, mp3, or a tape player and takes up virtually no additional space. It includes digital scan tuning with phase lock loop technology which enables the 2ner to aggressively search for stations and lock on with virtually no drift, thus no static from an out of tune station. The technology searches for and locks on to the next station available and automatically adjusts for best reception. The overall consequence is that the 2ners receive more stations more clearly. The Sonic2ner has bass boost of 25dB over the difficult to reproduce range of frequencies from 20 to 200 hertz. Its unique acoustic port technology enhances mid range and treble notes.

CMI Holdings Group, through its BTP (Business Transaction Protocol) An XML-based protocol from OASIS that adds the type of validation to transactions in a Web services environment that are normally performed by the two-phase commit within an enterprise.  Distribution Division has begun preparing for distribution and promotion of the 2ners. Announcements are forthcoming. At this time, BTP fulfills for Vstore (hosting over 125,000 web sites), Amazon.com, Borders, Barnes & Noble, a multitude of web companies, several hundred bricks and mortar A store (shop, supermarket, department store, etc.) in the real world. Contrast with clicks and mortar.  customers, and libraries around the country.

Other Updates

CMI Holdings Group expects to close on several pending contracts and acquisitions, beginning as early as this week. Once complete, they should add significantly to CMI's revenue stream. Announcements will be forth coming.
