Luther, president, Luther & Assoc., Tuscon, Arizona, was presented with the CMI (Computer-Managed Instruction) Using computers to organize and manage an instructional program for students. It helps create test materials, tracks the results and monitors student progress. Directors' Award "for his exceptional contributions to the Institute as an instructor and a member of its faculty." An AFS A distributed file system for large, widely dispersed Unix and Windows networks from Transarc Corporation, now part of IBM. It is noted for its ease of administration and expandability and stems from Carnegie-Mellon's Andrew File System. AFS - Andrew File System member since 1954, Luther received the Thomas W. He has served as a Cast Metals Institute director (1993-97), vice chairman (1995-96) and chairman (1996-97).
