"We're well-positioned to assist LMEs in this time of divestiture and transition, serving as a trusted partner that effectively meets their needs and assures compliant and efficient information exchange with provider organizations."

With CMHC/MIS, the LMEs can easily and efficiently accept service requests from their provider networks, project costs and send authorizations for service to the appropriate providers.

Unlike other applications with more limited scope, CMHC/MIS fully supports turnaround billing utilizing the HIPAA 837 standard, and is fully compliant with the Integrated Payment Reporting System (IPRS) utilized by the North Carolina Division of MH/DD/SAS to track, pay and report on all claims submitted by providers for services.

"As the reimbursement systems and standards in our state have migrated, so, too, has CMHC," said Randy Edwards, director of information systems for Pathways. "This responsiveness and adaptability makes them an especially effective partner."

All three LMEs will offer an array of functionality to their providers, including member enrollment, service requests, claims entry, slot capacity management and ACCEOS reporting and decision support. These provider-specific capabilities, along with the basic functionality of CMHC/MIS software, will facilitate Bulletin 15 compliance.

"CMHC was highly responsive to our need for graphical-screen authorization," said Steven B. Corley, Foothills area director/CEO. "They enabled us to introduce the system a week ahead of schedule, which was very helpful to our staff. We were especially impressed by CMHC's on-site technical support in the implementation of our CMHC systems."
