The library comprises over 1,400 high-quality images hand picked by digital design pioneer Clement Mok Clement Mok is a designer, software publisher/developer, author, and design patent holder. He has founded several design-related businesses — Studio Archetype (acquired by Sapient), CMCD and NetObjects, Inc.. From 1998 until 2001, he was Chief Creative Officer of Sapient. . Many of the royalty-free images are drawn from the best of his acclaimed image collection (formerly sold as part of PhotoDisc's Object Series), while others are new, never-before-seen images that were selected for their relevance, usefulness, and graphic and conceptual qualities.

Purchasing images from the Visual Symbols Library is conducted on a subscription basis at http://www.visualsymbols.com. A subscription allows you to download 15, 30 or 70 images per year for a flat fee of $299.95, $499.95, or $999.95, respectively. All the images in the Visual Symbols Library are royalty-free, so they can be used again and again. And unlike CMCD's competitors, the Visual Symbols Library provides images at one low price for all resolutions and all usage rights. Prices per image range from $14 to $20 depending on your subscription plan.
