CMC infrared thermal imager. (Digest).


Cutting-edge defence technology and CMC's patented InSb focal plane array architecture are combined to provide a multi-use platform infrared thermal imager from CMC Electronics Cincinnati. The TVS-8500 series is a compact, fully integrated unit that incorporates onboard data storage and comprehensive image analysis for aerospace as well as industrial and environments applications. The unit's design features include a -40 [degrees] to 900 [degrees] C broad thermal dynamic range (with up to 2000 [degrees] C upper range limit optional), full onboard data recording and analysis, built-in real time digital recorder, 5-inch colour LCD and data output via IEEE 1394 Firewire PC interface. The real-time 120, 30, 10, 5, 2 or 1 frame-per-second recording and playback of any image may be copied and stored on compact flash cards. The TVS-8500 may also be operated remotely.
