CMA president to testify in support of "revolutionary" electric restructuring agreement; will hold media availability after CPUC testimony.

) will hold public hearings in Sacramento on Wednesday, Sept. 13 and Thursday, Sept. 14, to discuss how best to restructure California's electric industry.

California Manufacturers Association President Bill Campbell will testify To provide evidence as a witness, subject to an oath or affirmation, in order to establish a particular fact or set of facts.

Court rules require witnesses to testify about the facts they know that are relevant to the determination of the outcome of the case.
 in support of a new electric restructuring accord reached this week with Southern California Edison Southern California Edison (or SCE Corp), the largest subsidiary of Edison International (NYSE: EIX), is the primary electricity supply company for much of Southern California. It provides 11 million people with electricity. , the Independent Energy Producers and others involved in the restructuring debate.

Campbell will hold a media availability immediately following his testimony to explain the accord and answer any questions on the plan, which represents "a revolutionary change in the way electricity is sold in California."

The hearings will be held in the CPUC Public Hearing Room at 714 P Street in Sacramento from 9 a.m. to noon, with the afternoon reserved for questions.
