CM Tech Announces Name and Logo Change to Initiate New Identity.


DENVER Denver, city (1990 pop. 467,610), alt. 5,280 ft (1,609 m), state capital, coextensive with Denver co., N central Colo., on a plateau at the foot of the Front Range of the Rocky Mts., along the South Platte River where Cherry Creek meets it; inc. 1861.  -- CM Tech Corp. officially announced its name change to bluemodus, effective March 1, 2006. The new name and logo reflect a shift in brand identity, but the company will continue to operate under its existing management, strategies and core competencies A core competency is something that a firm can do well and that meets the following three conditions specified by Hamel and Prahalad (1990):
  1. It provides customer benefits
  2. It is hard for competitors to imitate
  3. It can be leveraged widely to many products and markets.
. A new Web site, www.bluemodus.com, will launch March 15.

CM Tech works with local and national clients in a variety of industries to improve technological performance and efficiency in business. The company is best known for its work with Bacardi Bacardi is the world's largest privately held, family-owned spirits company; a producer of rums, including Bacardi Superior and Bacardi 151. The company sells in excess of 200 million bottles per year in 200 countries.  Global Brands, Inc., based in Washington, D.C. CM Tech strategically restructured Bacardi's Web environment and has aided in the back-end Web development of several successful online marketing campaigns.
