CLX Investment Company Updates Shareholders on Dividend Distribution; CEO Provides Brief Company History for Long-Term Shareholders.

TEMECULA, Calif. -- CLX Investment Company, Inc. (OTCBB:CLXN) today updated its shareholders on the continued distribution of CLX common stock as part of its recent 1-for-3 dividend. Included in the update was a statement by chief executive officer Tammy D. Dunn, in which she provided a brief history of the company and welcomed shareholders who owned stock in CLX when it was an oil and gas exploration firm and who were unaware of the recent activities of the company as an investment fund.

"After receiving feedback from a number of long-term shareholders, many of whom had originally invested in CLX as far back as the late 1970s when it operated under the name of Calvin Exploration Company, Inc., we felt that it was important to provide a brief history of how the company came to be CLX Investment Company," said Ms. Dunn. "We also wanted to reiterate for the benefit of those shareholders and anyone else interested in CLX the recent milestones we have achieved and how we intend to provide ongoing return for the company's shareholders."

CLX was originally incorporated on December 12, 1977 in the state of Colorado as Calvin Exploration Company, Inc. Its focus was to engage in on-shore oil and gas exploration, development and production in the continental United States, concentrated primarily in Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma and Wyoming. In 1993, the company's name was changed to CLX Energy, Inc., and it continued to seek the acquisition, exploration, development and operation of oil and gas properties.

In September 2004, CLX filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission to become a Business Development Company as defined under the Investment Act of 1940. The company changed its name to CLX Investment Company, Inc. to properly reflect the nature of its business and began providing investment capital and management assistance to emerging companies that were judged to be well-positioned for significant growth. The criteria for investment into a "portfolio company" is not only the potential for sustained growth in revenues, but also a specific method by which CLX shareholders would benefit from the increased value of each of its portfolio companies.

The company's transfer agent, Transfer Online, expects to receive by the first of next week a list of beneficial owners of the company's stock from the brokerage firms, banks and other applicable institutions whose clients are eligible to receive the stock dividend. Once that information has been received, investors who hold their shares in "street name" will be issued their dividend stock as quickly as possible.
