Lit.: Benét, 1109] See : Time Sunset Strip's Laugh Factory has been dishing up Christmas grins and grub for struggling entertainers high on ambition but down on luck. ``We give them some dignity and some pride,'' club owner Jamie Masada said Wednesday. ``We let them know that, hey, they are part of our family and they can go out there and they can find work.'' The comedy club expected to feed as many as 2,000 people Christmas. In a town where celebrity is king, Masada reigns with humility. The Israeli immigrant knows what it means to struggle, and vowed to give something back to Hollywood if he ever made the big time. Now, on Thanksgiving and Christmas, the comic-turned-nightclub impresario brings some of the biggest names to help feed and entertain those who haven't made it yet. ``Some of them, they came in here 17 years ago, they were homeless,'' Masada says of his supporters. ``Now, they have multimillion-dollar picture deals . . . you name it, they all drop by.'' On a sun-drenched Christmas afternoon, trendy looking young people lined up alongside others who appeared less fortunate outside the club. The ``big names'' stop in unexpectedly - usually in the evening and without much fanfare. Last year, Arsenio Hall dropped by and had the house rolling. A 63-year-old aspiring comic who would identify himself only as Peter said his mother died last year so he came to the Laugh Factory for Christmas Day. ``I'm not famous or anything . . . but I don't have anyone. This is kind of like family here,'' he said. There were more than enough laughs to go around. Comic Dom Irrerra took time out from serving up stuffing to take the stage while the visitors chowed down. ``Nobody ever dishes anything out to me except a little pain,'' Irrerra said. ``But I'd rather stand here than dish out that crappy crap·py adj. crap·pi·er, crap·pi·est Vulgar Slang 1.
