Staged on Sunday, August 30, the day of family fun was held at the Myton Farm pub in Ingleby Barwick and saw more than 200 people turn up to take part and help generate funds throughout the day. The event was sponsored by local business woman Dawn Hazel. Dawn's son, Joe, 10, plays in a TIBS team. She said: "I wanted to help the club because I know how much money they need to keep going. "Up until now I haven't been able to do that but I have just started my own business and so I thought there was no better time to put my name to a good case." Dawn, 47, who lives with husband, Vincent, Joe and other son Jack, 12, in Ingleby Barwick was inspired by TV's House Doctor to help families style their homes for a quick sale. Speaking about the event, Dawn added: "It was such a great day. "There were games, stalls, tombolas, beat the goalie - just fantastic fun - and it raised more than pounds 1,000. "The pub was great too. They let us use their grounds free of charge and also put on a treasure hunt on the day itself." * Dawn's company www.thehousemakeovercompany.co.uk will continue to sponsor TIBS throughout this footballing year.
