Ford, a native of Sioux Falls, S.D., earned his bachelor's degree from Gustavus Adolphus College Gustavus Adolphus College is a private liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America founded in Red Wing, Minnesota, in 1862 by Eric Norelius and was originally named Minnesota Elementar Skola.
