Slowly but surely, the Kingsmen are heeding his words. Against La Verne, Stitt played a key role in negating the Leos' front pressure and blitzing linebackers, allowing quarterback Derek Brown time to pick apart the La Verne secondary. When practice started in August, Stitt was not an accomplished blocker. Since then, he's developed into a good one. ``He's got a lot of football savvy,'' Squires said. ``He just knows what to do and when to do it. And he sure packs a punch for a freshman.'' Big goal:Kudos to former Newbury Park soccer star Kim Holeman, whose game-winning goal against Chapman on Monday vaulted her to fourth on the Cal Lutheran all-time goal list and fifth on the scoring list.
