CLU'S PATRIARCH DIES AFTER ILLNESS : SEGERHAMMAR, 89, HELPED FOUND SCHOOL.

The Rev. Carl W. Segerhammar, one of the founding fathers of California Lutheran University Mission statement
The University's mission statement is as follows:

Remembered for his commitment to the school, Segerhammar and his wife, Ruth, were regulars at university events up to his death, which followed a brief illness.

Luedtke, president of the university.

A memorial service for Segerhammar will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Samuelson Chapel at California Lutheran University.
