CLOTHING PROGRAM PROVES GOOD FIT FOR JOB SEEKERS.

What do you do if you need a job but you're so broke you can't afford to look decent enough for an interview?

The program collects professional clothing and accessories from corporate donations and drives.

Wal-Mart and the Daily News currently participate in an ongoing business clothing collection program.

The all-volunteer campaign provides everything from makeovers and shoes to corporate mentors and seminars.

On Thursday, Dress 4 Success will celebrate a grand opening at the Sydney Irma Transitional Living Transitional Living for Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation

The center and Dress 4 Success have teamed up to provide personal development services to homeless people who are served by the center, as well as people in job-training programs who are not homeless.

Lavender is trying to expand the program to serve not only adults, but high school students as they prepare for jobs.

What comes out of one of the largest beer breweries in the world besides beer? The answer: money.

The Anheuser-Busch Companies, headquartered in St. Louis, has donated $65,000 to the Jewish Federation A Jewish Federation is a confederation of various Jewish social agencies, volunteer programs, educational bodies, and related organizations, found within most cities in North America that host a viable Jewish community.  of Greater Los Angeles.

For the sixth year, Anheuser-Busch has given funds to the federation.

``This is a commitment we are proud to make,'' said Gary Lee, plant manager of Anheuser-Busch's Van Nuys brewery. ``We believe in giving back to the communities in which our employees work and live and are pleased to continue helping to make a difference in the lives of those served by the federation.''

This donation is one of 10 by Anheuser-Busch to Jewish agencies across the country this year, totaling more than $300,000 and more than $2 million since the program began.

``We are grateful for the steadfast support of Anheuser-Busch,'' said John Fishel, executive president of the federation. ``We salute Anheuser-Busch for helping us help others.''

The check presentation will be Wednesday at the Van Nuys plant on Roscoe Boulevard.

The employees and managers of Pacific Southwest Financial & Insurance Services in Woodland Hills have given a $2,000 cash grant to the Canoga Park-based Guadalupe Center, which helps underprivileged families.

The Kiwanis Club of Calabasas recently donated hundreds of books and videos to the Calabasas Library. The donation will greatly increase the resources of the new area facility.
