Darius Miles Darius LaVar Miles (born October 9, 1981 in Belleville, Illinois) is an American professional basketball player for the NBA's Portland Trail Blazers.

After earlier tours with the Dallas Mavericks and Phoenix Suns, he is currently the New Jersey Nets starting point guard and captain.  had 12 points on 6-of-14 shooting.

``We just didn't have it,'' Phoenix coach Scott Skiles Scott Allen Skiles (born March 5, 1964 in LaPorte, Indiana) is a former professional basketball player and current head coach of the Chicago Bulls. Skiles holds the NBA record for assists in one game, with thirty. In 1990-91 he won the NBA Most Improved Player Award.  said. ``They have given us problems all year with their youth and athleticism. Especially when Miles got in there and got a lot of lobs and dunks.''

Miles came off the bench and had 11 points, three blocks and four rebounds.

``I wanted to play hard and finish out the season on a high note. I'm glad I was able to bring something to the team,'' said the 19-year-old Miles, taken by the Clippers with the third pick in the NBA draft last year.
