CLIPPERS NOTEBOOK : ONE OF THREE CENTERS MUST GO ON INJURED LIST.

Clippers coach Bill Fitch William Fitch (born May 19 1934 in Davenport, Iowa) is a former NBA coach who has been successful in making teams playoff contenders throughout his coaching career. Before entering the professional ranks he coached college ball at the University of Minnesota, Bowling Green State  has until Thursday to decide which one of his three centers to put on the injured list.

With the roster at 14 players, Brent Barry Brent Robert Barry (born December 31, 1971 in Hempstead, New York) is an American professional basketball player currently with the NBA's San Antonio Spurs. He is known by his nickname, "Bones", and stands 6 ft 7 in (2.01 m).  is set to start the season on the injured list because of a sprained left thumb. Fitch said Monday he will put either Dwayne Schintzius Dwayne Kenneth Schintzius (born October 14 1968 in Brandon, Florida) is an American basketball player perhaps best known for his role as a Russian player in the 1996 Whoopi Goldberg comedy Eddie, and his mullet. , Stanley Roberts Stanley Corvet Roberts (born February 7 1970, in Hopkins, South Carolina) is an American former professional basketball player who was selected by the Orlando Magic in the 1st round (23rd overall) of the 1991 NBA Draft.  or Kevin Duckworth Kevin Jerome Duckworth, aka The Duck (born April 1, 1964 in Harvey, Illinois) is an American former professional basketball player at center in the National Basketball Association, most notably a member of the Portland Trail Blazers.  on the list also.

The player will miss a minimum of five games.

Fitch said he will make his decision depending on the physical condition of each player. Roberts and Duckworth are battling weight problems while Schintzius has been slowed by a sprained ankle A sprained ankle, also known as a ankle sprain, ankle injury or ankle ligament injury, is a common medical condition where one or more of the ligaments of the ankle is torn or partially torn. .

``We'll let the (NBA's) doctor come out here, run wind sprints against them, beat them and then he'll have the proof,'' Fitch said. ``We'll see how each player does in practice and then I'll make the decision.''

Barry will have the cast taken off today to have his thumb examined.

``The last time it happened, they took it off for 15 minutes and put another one on,'' Barry said. ``That was the best 15 minutes of my life.''

Barry is expected to be out two to three more weeks.

New tickets: They're not counterfeits. The Clippers, to commemorate the NBA's 50th anniversary, have printed old-style tickets for each home game.

The new tickets have the Clippers and the opponent logo, a drawing of a basketball player and the date the opponent franchise was started. The tickets are printed on a custom cardboard to give it a dated look.

Dehere's back: Guard Terry Dehere returned to practice on Sunday and continued to workout despite his sprained left-knee ligament.

Dehere said he will be ready for Friday's opener at Golden State.
