Michael Olowokandi Michael Olowokandi (born April 3 1975 in Lagos, Nigeria), nicknamed The Kandi Man is a Nigerian professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association. He currently is a free agent.  was arrested Saturday morning on suspicion of cohabitant co·hab·it

The Clippers center did not make himself available for questions, but he did address reporters after the Clippers' 103-72 victory over Indiana on Sunday.

``Domestic violence is not something to make light of,'' Olowokandi said. ``It is something that I never, ever participated in. And I think, at the moment, whatever print might be out there might be a little bit out of proportion.''

Olowokandi said he was innocent but didn't go into details.

``It is a very personal matter and I think in time, we will find out what was printed did not happen,'' Olowokandi said. ``Numerous witnesses were there when this happened. And this is not at all what it seems like.''

Because Olowokandi missed Saturday's practice, he was fined $2,500.
