Rodney Rogers Rodney Ray Rogers (born June 20, 1971, in Durham, North Carolina) is a retired American basketball player who last played power forward for the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers.

Rogers played college basketball at Wake Forest University from 1990 until 1993.
matched his season high with 29 points in leading the Clippers to only their fourth road win of the season, 119-116 over the Nets.

``This was a good win for us,'' said Lamond Murray Lamond Maurice Murray (April 20 1973 in Pasadena, California, U.S.) is an American former professional basketball player who last played with the National Basketball Association's New Jersey Nets. , who added 24 points and 10 rebounds. ``We played very well offensively and although we missed a couple of free throws down the stretch to keep it close, we didn't panic and let it slip away.''

Even though the Nets had a couple of chances to tie the game in the closing seconds, New Jersey coach John Calipari John Vincent Calipari (born February 10 1959, in Moon Township (A suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States) is a former professional and current college basketball coach. Since 2000, he has been the head coach of the University of Memphis men's basketball team.  said his team lost long before that.

``This one is a tough one to swallow,'' Calipari said. ``Give them credit, they're a good shooting team. We have talented players and when they play hard they can beat anyone in the league. But when they don't, we can be beaten by anyone.''

The Clippers' 119 points and 55.7 percent shooting from the field were season highs, even though the team was playing for the fourth time in five nights.

Darrick Martin Darrick David Martin (born March 6, 1971 in Denver, Colorado, United States) is an American professional basketball player, currently with the NBA's Toronto Raptors. Martin has became known as a solid veteran who provided quality minutes as a reserve, maintaining a career free  had a season-high 20 points and rookie center Maurice Taylor Maurice De Shawn Taylor (born October 30, 1976 in Detroit, Michigan) is an American professional basketball player at the power forward position. He was most recently with the NBA's Sacramento Kings, released on January 23, 2007.  had 10 of his 12 points in the fourth quarter as the Clippers snapped a four-game losing streak and improved their road mark to 4-18.

scored 26 points for the Nets, but the rookie only had six in the second half and was a liability on defense.

``Van Horn hurt us early with his offensive game, but you have to make guys like him play defense,'' Murray said. ``We started going at him and I think he got a little rattled because he didn't do anything in the second half.''

Jayson Williams added 20 points and 18 rebounds for New Jersey, while Sherman Douglas had 18 points and a season-high 17 assists.

``We thought we were that good that we could beat them whenever we wanted to,'' Williams said. ``We let them stay around too long when we should have put them away. It's a shame that we lost this game.''

The Clippers never trailed after taking the lead late in the second quarter but had some anxious moments down the stretch, missing four free throws in the final 18.5 seconds.

A jumper from the right wing by Taylor gave the Clippers a 117-111 lead with a minute to play. A 3-pointer by Van Horn and two free throws by Kerry Kittles after a bad foul by Brent Barry got the Nets to within 117-116 with 19.5 seconds left.
