     each scored 26 points as the Utah Jazz defeated the Clippers 108-85 Tuesday night.

    Hornacek scored the last 10 points of the first quarter for the Jazz to give it a 31-26 lead. He hit consecutive 3-pointers at the end of the second quarter, capping a 13-2 run that gave Utah a 58-45 halftime advantage.

    The Clippers scored nine straight points to pull to 71-60 with six minutes left in the third period, but the Jazz outscored the Clippers 12-7 the rest of the period to make it 83-67.

    Utah increased its lead to 89-69 early in the fourth quarter, and the Clippers didn't threaten again.

    Hornacek was 10 of 15 from the field, including 4 of 5 from 3-point range.

    Malone has made 10 of 13 shots for the Jazz, who shot 50 percent from the field. Utah shot only 39 percent in a loss to the Clippers on Saturday.

    The win kept Utah 1-1/2 games ahead of the Lakers in the race for the third playoff spot in the Western Conference. The Jazz has two games left and the Lakers have three.
