The Clippers started their five-game road trip with a rare win over New York New York, state, United States

The Clippers beat New York for the first time in more than three years and for only the third time in their last 20 meetings. It was the sixth loss in the past seven games for the Knicks, who were outscored 33-20 in the fourth quarter.

However, Brad Mayne, general manager of Ogden Entertainment, the company that runs the arena, said he is already signing up other events that could conflict if the Clippers left the Sports Arena for Anaheim.

"We broke off discussions (with the Clippers) on March 1," Mayne said. "I'm booking all kinds of things. We're doing very well."

Mayne said the only negotiating remaining with the Clippers is when the eight regular-season games will be played.

The Clippers' proposal must be approved by the NBA Board of Governors on April 24.
