CLICHY has appealed to Arsenal fans to back under-fire captain William Gallas and striker Emmanuel Adebayor.

Gallas took the blame for last weekend's defeat at Fulham and was booed when he came off the bench in the 4-0 thrashing of FC Twente on Wednesday.

"I think he showed against Twente he is a great player," said Clichy. "Everyone has a bad time - last year against Birmingham, I made a big mistake.

"William is the captain but the players don't blame him for everything. Everyone makes mistakes."

Adebayor upset fans in the summer, but Clichy said a few goals will show his commitment and get the fans back onside.
