CLI Announces Agreement with Lazo, Gertman & Associates, Inc. for Telemedicine Application on the Desktop.

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 15, 1996--Compression Labs, Inc. (CLI) (NASDAQ:CLIX) today announced the Company has signed a software development agreement with Lazo, Gertman & Associates, Inc., a medical software development company based in Waltham, Mass., who will design and market telemedicine applications for CLI's Desktop Video products.

This agreement is part of CLI's commitment to provide high-performance, enterprise-wide solutions in its targeted markets, including health care where telemedicine is a growing application.

Lazo, Gertman & Associates is developing the Continuously Available Medical Care (CAMC) high-end medical personal computer system to link patients at home to medical providers. By adding CLI Desktop Video visual communications, CAMC will help bring more customized and cost-effective care to larger patient populations. To make the video communications as easy to use as possible, Lazo, Gertman will develop a comprehensive and simple-to-use interface for patients. The company plans to market the package to managed health care providers looking for sophisticated ways to deliver more cost-effective and high-quality health care.
