CLEAN-UP ON SHANNON ESTATE.Byline: SAM CASEY HOUSING officials are targeting anti-social behaviour on the estate made infamous by the Shannon Matthews case. Youngsters are being encouraged to give Dewsbury Moor a clean-up. They have been taught some basic skills and are being encouraged to get involved in activities with friends. Last week they spent time removing rubbish from people's gardens. Kirklees Neighbourhood Housing (KNH KNH Kenyatta National Hospital ) has teamed up with Kirklees Council to organise a project called 'dream scheme' in Dewsbury Moor. Paul Buckley, KNH's director of neighbourhoods, said: "It is very important to remember throughout this project, and indeed in general, that although some people have negative ideas about young people, the truth is often very different. "Projects like this show that, actually, most young people are not what the stereotype makes them out to be and are keen to get involved in com-munitactivities." The group was given hot dogs and cake as a treat for their hard work.
