According to the National Junior College Research Association, College of the Canyons consistently ranks in the top 50 community colleges in the nation.  for household toxic items not suitable for landfills.

From 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., large items of trash, as well as scrap and scrap lumber and other items too large for curbside pickup can be dropped off at the following points:

The collection points will not accept televisions, computer monitors, fluorescent lights, tires, used oil, paint, cement, rock, asphalt, refrigerators, air conditioners or propane tanks.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at College of the Canyons, 26455 Rockwell Canyon Road, Valencia, used oil, anti-freeze, garden chemicals, batteries, paint and other such household waste will be collected free for proper disposal. Tires, explosives and radioactive waste will not be accepted.

Items should be in sturdy boxes and preferably in their original, labeled containers. There is a limit of 15 gallons or 125 pounds per vehicle. Containers will not be returned.
