CLAUS FOR YEANG.Ken Yeang Dr. Ken Yeang (Chinese: 杨经文/楊經文; pinyin: Yáng Jīngwén) is a prolific Malaysian architect and writer best known for developing environmental design solutions for high-rise buildings in the tropics. has been awarded a Prince Claus Award. The Dutch prizes are given for exceptional achievenments in the field of culture and development in Africa, Asia, Latin America Latin America, the Spanish-speaking, Portuguese-speaking, and French-speaking countries (except Canada) of North America, South America, Central America, and the West Indies. and the Caribbean, and honour people who have brought 'positive changes to their society and culture'. It has long been assumed that skyscrapers cannot be sensitive to environmental issues. Yet Veang continues to evolve tall buildings with a green agenda. Charles Jencks in his laudation laud·a·tion n. The act of lauding; praise. suggested that Yeang's books on the bioclimatic bi·o·cli·ma·tol·o·gy n.
