Los Angeles Opera The Los Angeles Opera is an opera company in Los Angeles, California, United States. The company's home base is the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, part of the Los Angeles Music Center.  takes center stage in the coming weeks with two grand operas in repertory. ``La Boheme'' follows the tale of six young Parisians at Christmas in a production designed by the late filmmaker Herbert Ross.
