CLARIFICATION of Quovadx Press Release.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Quovadx, Inc. (Nasdaq:QVDX) wishes to issue the following clarification to its release, BW5759, (CO-QUOVADX) "Quovadx Executives Appointed to Prominent Industry Advisory Panels" issued Wednesday, April 20, 2005:

Quovadx, Inc., a global software and vertical solutions company, today issued a clarification to a press release issued on April 20, 2005, titled "Quovadx Executives Appointed to Prominent Industry Advisory Panels." In the press release, the Company did not adequately characterize the relationship Mr. Eugene Kroch, Ph.D, has with the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONCHIT).

For clarification, Mr. Kroch was one of four economic advisors on contract with a national healthcare and human services consulting firm to help facilitate a project conducted by ONCHIT. Mr. Kroch also is on contract with a firm that supplies support services and experts to ONCHIT, to help with additional economic analyses. This contract is still active. In neither instance was Mr. Kroch contracted directly with, or appointed directly to, any formal position by the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology.

Quovadx did not intend to suggest that Mr. Kroch had been appointed to any official office or position with ONCHIT, nor did the Company intend to imply that ONCHIT was in any way affiliated with Quovadx, Inc. Quovadx is happy to set the record straight in relation to Mr. Kroch's role, the purpose or goal of the office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, or any incorrect inferences that may have been made in relation to the context of the other news items presented in this press release.
