DENVER -- First Data wishes to issue the following clarification to its release, BW5535, (CO-FIRST-DATA) "First Data Hires Advisor to Assist in Strategic Review of Card Business; Provides Preliminary Comments on 2006" issued earlier today:

The first sentence in the second paragraph of the previous news release is revised as follows:

Preliminary 2006 forecasts indicate that revenue growth and operating margin for Western Union are expected to be in-line with 2005, excluding the acquisition of Vigo. Including the Vigo acquisition, on a GAAP basis, the revenue growth rate for Western Union is expected to increase to the mid to high teens, with operating margin in-line with 2005.
