CLARIFICATION of First Data Press Release.


DENVER -- First Data wishes to issue the following clarification to its release, BW5535, (CO-FIRST-DATA) "First Data Hires Advisor to Assist in Strategic Review of Card Business; Provides Preliminary Comments on 2006" issued earlier today:

The first sentence in the second paragraph of the previous news release is revised as follows:
