of his intentions Monday, but will not sign with an agent, which will give him the option of returning to USC for his senior season.

As recently as last week, Clancy denied any possibility of turning pro.

``I see everyone else has declared but I feel I'm not ready for the NBA,'' he said. ``I've already decided. To me it isn't an issue.''

Clancy has always left open the possibility of turning pro if he were a projected lottery pick. However, it's debatable that he will even be considered a first-round pick this year.

Although Clancy averaged 17.5 points and 7.5 rebounds last season, he is small (6-foot-7) for a power forward.

USC coaches expect Clancy to back out of the draft before the June 20 deadline, once his stock has been assessed by NBA teams.
