CKS Founder Moves On.

LOS GATOS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 2, 1998--Bill Cleary announced today that he has formally resigned from CKS Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: CKSG). Bill is well known for his role as the founder of CKS. Bill helped steer CKS from a two-man business in the late 1980's to a multimillion-dollar international integrated marketing communications agency. Last year, CKS had annual revenues of over $133 million.

"The last ten years have been truly momentous for myself, my partners and colleagues at CKS. Together we created something unique that continues to redefine marketing communications in the age of the Web," said Bill Cleary. Bill plans to spend more time with his two sons, Ian and Dylan. He also intends to devote more time to his lecture series on branding at Santa Clara University, where he chairs the advisory board to the Business School. Bill also acts as an advisor to P3M, where he recently accepted a position on their board of directors.

Prior to CKS, Bill held senior level management positions at ActiVision and Apple Computer. He began his advertising career in New York working on such noteworthy brands as Pepsi, Pizza Hut, Welch foods and Standard Brands. During that time, Bill earned a reputation for developing award-winning marketing programs, including his work on the "Pepsi Challenge." On the high technology side, Bill has been involved in the launch of numerous hardware, software and peripheral products.
