Checkpoint Genetics Pharmaceuticals Inc.'s (Pink Sheets OTCBB:CKPT) completion of a principal equity investment in Checkpoint Genetics Inc., an Exton, Pa.-based development pharmaceutical firm, has enabled the full preparation for the product development of Checkpoint Genetics Inc.

Checkpoint Genetics Inc. has managed to exceed projections. This is attributed to the company's commendable management of resources as well as some contributory interest income from well-managed financial resources. This translates to a better funding position for the actual development of its product line by channeling funds to product development work.

Fund resources from CKPT, the parent company, also enabled Checkpoint Genetics Inc. to relocate to an advanced Research and Development Facility in West Chester, Pa. The relocation involved the complete system installation supportive of the ongoing clinical stage development of Checkpoint's product lines.

Specifically, the company's comprehensive review of accomplishment of company milestones for the year 2000 included notable developments to maintain progress in clinical development of RestenOX(TM), an oral agent for restenosis prevention, by revenue support from nutraceutical products VegOX Heart Health(TM) and SeaVOX Maritime Menu(TM).

Note that the schedule for IND filing of RestenOX(TM) will be on time. Similarly, neuroprotection results using CPG-603 with oral administration further support further interest in the company's stroke-prevention program.
