Two bank customers in a van chased down a man suspected of robbing a Great Western Bank in Malibu, knocking him off his bike and holding him until deputies arrived Friday afternoon, authorities said.

Gordon Gleason, 41, of Oxnard, was arrested on suspicion of robbery shortly after the 3:25 p.m. incident, said Sgt. James Brady of the Lost Hills sheriff's station.

Gleason is suspected of calmly entering the bank in the 29200 block of Heathercliff Road and presenting a demand note to a teller, who complied and handed him money, O'Brien said.

The man, wearing a wig and fake beard, walked out of the branch, which was filled with about a dozen employees and customers, and hopped on his bike as a dye pack A dye pack is a device used by banks to foil bank robbers non-violently.
